Brain cells visualization. While learning WebGL technology a mesh visualizer was made. I used three.js library. All data is visualized by OpenGL inside browser. The surfaces I used are mouse brain cells, their compartments and organelle reconstructions. The reconstructions were made manually by images from electronic microscope, my part was to analyze these reconstructions morphologically (see paper Subcellular location of astrocytic calcium stores favors extrasynaptic neuron–astrocyte communication). Medical imaging. Visualizing a painted surface. This surface was reconstructed from a CT scan of a hand with InVols program, each vertex is colored and the color corresponds the transfer function for densities close to the vertex position. The idea was to generate colored models in PLY file format by a DICOM series and pass the model to a 3D printer. |
