I did not study in the Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev (NNSTU), but I made a lot of conputer graphics related works for the students there. Judging by the tasks they sent they have a descent training program which is hard for some people, apparently.
There are 22 programs on computer graphics in the archive, mostly use MFC library. They may be difficult for students to implement, but they are of the same type: usually the program renders a geometrical object with moving parts, possibly with shadows, mirroring, sections or refraction.
